The kids getting ready to go to the mall
Micah as Snake Eyes!!
Shocking that Hope went as Princess Hope (that is what she made us call her).
Micah's handy work
Yes, that is our pumpkin. I (Sue) have a special bond with this pumpkin for I grew it myself. It was tiny but really easy to carve.
We did not go to the church this year for the Pumpkin Carnival. Micah was not 100% but Hope was begging to get dressed up and go get candy. So, we decided we would go to the mall right when they start to hand out candy for them to get a little bit and for Hope to dress up. Micah wore his Snake Eyes suit and it covered his face so we thought his germs were pretty contained. The nice thing about the mall is they did not get a whack load of candy, which is nice then I won't eat it all :)
Now we get to listen to Hope asked for candy non-stop until it is gone. She is tenacious that one!!

Welcome Home Old Friend
Mom and Dad C. are "lending" us my old car for the winter. It is weird to be driving my first car around again, brings back lots of memories of bombing around Edmonton. We used to call it the Red Bullet for I was known for driving it a little too fast but we all know that is impossible for I always followed the speed limit :)
Thanks Dad for taking such good care of it over the years!!

The Highlights of the Run
Well, I only ran the 8km due to my hip but it was tons of fun. I could not believe how many people were in just the 8km run. It was sold out with 2400 people running, what an experience for I do not think I will run with that many people again. Who can say they ran against Simon Whitefield (Olympic athlete)!
Some of my other highlights would be: feeling a wee bit claustrophobic at the starting line/ the dancing nuns in their poodle skirts - ya you read it right dancing nuns/ having a Storm Trooper cheer me on/ and coming in 554th place overall and 23 out of 146 in my age category.
Next will be the BMO 1/2 Marathon in May. Give my hip the winter to rest.

I finally got Curtis to take me somewhere with him.
What are you doing Hope?
Dancing Princess
12 Dancing Princesses
Our little Princess has developed an obsession with the Barbie movie "12 Dancing Princesses." She is driving her poor mom crazy with the movie. Throughout the day Curtis and I find ourselves humming the music and the minute we do Hope starts to dance to it. I think it is time to try to wean her from it :)
