A Few Pictures

It has been awhile since I have updated our blog, sorry. In this hodgepodge of pictures there is Curtis feeding a fox an egg, Micah in his glory with all of his hockey gear on, the kids decorating the Christmas tree and showing off Auntie Darlene's Christmas ornaments and the beginning stages of our hole in the wall.
Enjoy!!

Riding a Horse

Hope went to a birthday party last weekend and the kids were able to go for a horse ride, if they wanted. I did not think Hope would go but she surprised me and was eager to hop right on and go for a ride. We could have a future cowgirl in our midst.

First Day of School

Just a wee bit late posting this picture of the kids first day.

Family Picture

Green Bay

Green Bay was excellent this year!! I think a major part was how wonderful the speaker was and feeling warm weather for the first time this summer. Micah and I painted a cougar in ceramics and I must admit that it looks awesome! The picture on the blog is not the finished product, we still needed to add some more brown as well as black. Hope was a ceramic machine and we had to put a limit to the amount she could make. Due to the sunny weather, we pretty much lived at the beach in the afternoons. It was hard to get Micah out of the water especially when he was on the blob. Our family always enjoys our time there and we made many new friends as well as connected with some old ones and are already looking forward to next year!

Vacation 2011

We had a wonderful couple weeks away!! We stayed on the west coast and enjoyed Cultus Lake, Birch Bay, Seattle, and Alaska. The kids were excellent travelers and had a wonderful time. The baseball game was actually lots of fun and I was able to cheer on the Texans. We are very thankful for safe travels and time together as a family!

Sport's Day

It was sports day yesterday at school. Hope was on the purple team and Micah was on green. This is always the highlight of the year and Micah was pretty excited that his team won the tug of war! Well now that sports day is done that can only mean school is almost finished, YEAH!!!

Hope's Birthday

We celebrated Hope's birthday at Michael's craft store with all her friends from her class. The girls made bags, had some food, and then played some games. The girls were really good and quiet...yup quiet! We are so thankful for the friends Hope has made this year at school.

Now that is a pink room!!

Handy Curtis renovated Hope's room for her this past week. We, really I, wanted wainscoting on the bottom and a solid colour for the top. Hope was allowed to choose the colour, which was painful to say the least. She wanted green but that is what colour it was before so she settled on Sleeping Beauty pink but we have no idea how Sleeping Beauty could sleep in a room that bright. Curtis thinks you probably could see her room in space :)

Pre-Birthday

When Grandma and Grandpa Reimer, plus Amber, came up for Grandparents Day we had a mini birthday party for Hope. Off to Boston Pizza for lunch and then some cards to open. She was really excited to get her own Starbuck's card (she has placed it in hiding so her Mom does not try to use it) and money!!

Cousins

Micah and Hope sure loved having Amber come and visit them again. The kids are pretty lucky to have such great cousins!!

Soccer 2011

The 2011 soccer season has officially begun. Micah and Hope are both playing this year, which means we will be living at the soccer fields for the next couple of months. Hope is on the orange team and after today her goal is to touch the ball the next game :) Micah is silver and he already scored a goal, which I missed, of course.

Mother's Day Tea

Hope's class put together a Mother's Day Tea for all of the moms on Thursday. They gave us little tissue paper flowers, rubbed our shoulders, recited all of their memory verses, sang some songs and we did a dance together. It was a wonderful afternoon and I feel very blessed to have had this time with my beautiful daughter.

I could watch 12 Dancing Princesses ALL DAY!!

12 Dancing Princesses

Our little Princess has developed an obsession with the Barbie movie "12 Dancing Princesses." She is driving her poor mom crazy with the movie. Throughout the day Curtis and I find ourselves humming the music and the minute we do Hope starts to dance to it. I think it is time to try to wean her from it :)

Kindergarten is coming.

Good thing Hope is not going because she looks bored all ready.
