Cultus Lake

Right after Micah and Hope's swimming lessons I took the kids to visit Grandma and Grandpa Cornfield. The kids were awesome for the drive (a wee bit of bribery about taking them to Toys R Us in Kamloops might of helped). We had lots of fun playing mini golf, visiting a military museum, hanging out at the lake, playing in the park (even though it was full of garbage and wasps), going to Micah's favorite place, Chuckee Cheese, and just hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa watching Teletoon Retro.

Shane Lake

Micah wore camo (is that how you spell it?) just so we would not see him. I think it worked.

Amazing that this is right in our city. Gotta love PG!

Vacation Time

This was the only time Micah sat still at Green Bay.
Hope loved the water!!

If you look in the background that is Hope's first crush, Yahtzee. We still hear about how funny he was :)
Yes Hope at the whole cotton candy, thanks Uncle Kyle.

Having fun in Jasper.

Kidz Art Dayz

Ah, the annual trip to the Civic Centre for the Kidz Art Dayz. The year was the same as every other year but the kids like going. Hope and I (Sue) stood in line for a LONG time just to get her face painted while Micah and Curtis went to all of the booths. We went right when it started and then left just as it was getting busy.

Canada Day

On Canada Day we went to the Dawson's for a BBQ with the Child's. The kids had lots of fun playing hide and go seek but could not wait until we pulled out the smors.

Garden

Well Dad, after much calling in frustration that nothing is growing or that I have no patience I have been able to have lettuce, tomato (just one so far), and one strawberry. I actually made a salad with lettuce and the tomato and did not share with Curtis, he was okay with that :)
So, the garden is coming slowly and I am exited to do things a bit different for next year. I will be calling you soon Dad about what to do with my pumpkins (which are actually growing) and peas.

What a Weekend

Waiting for the tug of war to start
Micah did not hop he ran with the potato sack, cleaver kid!
Hope just liked going for the snacks at the track meet
Micah doing shot put
His 3rd place ribbon for 100m
We had a busy weekend!! The kids and I spent most of it at the track for Micah had his first track meet. Lots of waiting around for his events but the nice part was the coaches looked after the kids. Micah tried his best and that is all we wanted. He got 3rd in the 100m, 1st in shot put, and 2nd in the 60m. We did not stay for all of the events for we also had our Sunday School picnic. The kids had fun, especially Micah. The highlight again this year was the water balloon fight.

Only one week of school left which is hard to believe. It feels like we just started the year and now it is the end. I really enjoyed my class this year so it will be sad to see them leave, it always is. I am ready for a break but the summer will go by fast and then it is right back at it. I am just going to enjoy not driving to Cedars everyday!!

Finished!!

Pam and I completed our half marathon on the weekend. Pam's mom's friend made us stop to take a picture when we were heading home so that is why we look so tired in the picture above. It was pretty funny!!! The weather was prefect for the run for it was warm but not to hot that it zapped your energy. I felt great throughout the run, which was nice. I am pretty excited to do a full marathon in the fall.

Happy 4th Birthday Hope!!

It feels like we have been celebrating Hope's birthday for a month now. One of her gifts from us was a date with Mommy where we went for supper and then shopping for a new dress and shoes. I have to say my daughter knows what she wants!! Once she saw the dress above there was no talking her out of it or her shoes.
On Monday, we had her birthday party with her friends and then went to Boston Pizza for supper.
Hope is such a little girl and is stretching me out of my comfort zone is so many ways. We went grocery shopping and she saw this bright pink nail polish. So, we painted her toes and fingernails then she insisted that I paint mine (which I NEVER do). I met her half way and just did my toes. It is going to take some getting use to having such a princess in the house :)

Hope's early birthday party

Grandma and Grandpa Reimer came down for the long weekend so we had an early birthday celebration for Hope. We told her she could pick the supper so we had pizza, chips, pop, and ice cream cake. She loved all of her presents but had an instant connection with the sunglasses and dress from Auntie Shelley, Uncle Kent, and the girls. We are thankful for the years God has given us with our children and are reminded of how precious time is especially after this weekend. We are truly blessed.

A Few Pictures

What is our house like right now? Well a typical day consists of Hope always amazing us with her fashion sense :) She has her own style and we never know what she will mix and match next. She loves to wear dresses (the fancier the better) with lots of bling (jewelery). Micah has officially lost 2 teeth. He has discovered street hockey and might be a wee bit obsessed. When school is finished he just wants to have friends over to play. They can play for hours, which I find amazing. It is nice that spring is here and seeing everything starting to bloom. After such a long winter I did not even complain about picking up dog poop. However, I was not impressed with the 6 large piles of Moose poop on our front lawn.

"This is the easiest way to make money." - Micah

Yes it is true, Micah finally lost a tooth. He was really excited when it fell out and he feels grown up now. The parent-fairies gave him $5 for his first tooth and told him he will get $1 for the rest. Right after we told him he ran to the bathroom to count how many teeth he has left, what an entrepeneur!

Looking Good!

As we all know, Hope has her own style. For Easter she had a beautiful frilly dress to wear and she felt she needed to add to it. So, she placed a hoodie, cowboy hat (that she decorated) and sunglasses on to finish the ensemble. What a girl!!!

I finally got Curtis to take me somewhere with him.

Dancing Princess

Dancing Princess
I could watch 12 Dancing Princesses ALL DAY!!

12 Dancing Princesses

Our little Princess has developed an obsession with the Barbie movie "12 Dancing Princesses." She is driving her poor mom crazy with the movie. Throughout the day Curtis and I find ourselves humming the music and the minute we do Hope starts to dance to it. I think it is time to try to wean her from it :)

Kindergarten is coming.

Good thing Hope is not going because she looks bored all ready.
