Handy Curtis renovated Hope's room for her this past week. We, really I, wanted wainscoting on the bottom and a solid colour for the top. Hope was allowed to choose the colour, which was painful to say the least. She wanted green but that is what colour it was before so she settled on Sleeping Beauty pink but we have no idea how Sleeping Beauty could sleep in a room that bright. Curtis thinks you probably could see her room in space :)

Pre-Birthday
When Grandma and Grandpa Reimer, plus Amber, came up for Grandparents Day we had a mini birthday party for Hope. Off to Boston Pizza for lunch and then some cards to open. She was really excited to get her own Starbuck's card (she has placed it in hiding so her Mom does not try to use it) and money!!

Soccer 2011
The 2011 soccer season has officially begun. Micah and Hope are both playing this year, which means we will be living at the soccer fields for the next couple of months. Hope is on the orange team and after today her goal is to touch the ball the next game :) Micah is silver and he already scored a goal, which I missed, of course.
Mother's Day Tea
Hope's class put together a Mother's Day Tea for all of the moms on Thursday. They gave us little tissue paper flowers, rubbed our shoulders, recited all of their memory verses, sang some songs and we did a dance together. It was a wonderful afternoon and I feel very blessed to have had this time with my beautiful daughter.

Easter Pictures
Easter
We had a wonderful weekend with the Knudson family!! They surprised the kids and boy were they shocked to see them, wish we could of taken a picture of Micah's face it was priceless :)
Micah and Hope were so excited to have Ashley and Amber babysit them one night while all the adults went out for supper and a movie. All we hear about now is how much they miss the girls (as well as Uncle Kent and Auntie Shelley) and cannot wait to see them again in a couple of months. Amber needs make sure she has her nail polish kit with her because Hope has big plans :) As well, Uncle Kent better keep practicing his cheer leading moves, the kids want to see them live :) Thanks again for the great visit!!

Micah's Birthday Party
Micah just wanted Ethan and Josh over for video games, movie (Hop), and a sleepover. It was nice to have a low key birthday party but that does not mean the boys were not full of energy! Micah has been blessed with these boys friendships. How many kids can say they have been friends since they were born :)

Micah and Uncle Kyle's Birthday Supper
Once again, Kyle came down just in time to celebrate his and Micah' birthdays. We had a nice supper with chocolate fondue for dessert. All Hope wanted to do was having staring contests with Uncle Kyle. Micah loved his gifts from the family and could not wait to play his new video games. It is hard to believe that Micah is going to be 9 on Monday. Where does the time go?

Sunny Sunday
After church, the kids and I went outside to play in the snow. Micah played with some friends while Hope and I hung out together with the dogs. While outside, we discovered that Dudley likes to walk Tank. All of a sudden, he jumped up and grabbed Tank's leash then ran up and down the street and around the yard. We were all laughing pretty hard at the sight as were many of our neighbors. Hope just wanted to be pulled around on our big shovel and when I was done she tried to recruit Tank and make a dog sled. Needless to say, they did not get very far. It seems like this snow is going to be around for awhile so I just need to embrace it and make the most out of the situation (I need to keep telling myself this or else I might go crazy!).

Beach Day
Yes, you read the title right. Thursday was Beach Day for Hope's class and it was only around -29 with wind chill outside. Hope knew exactly what she wanted to wear and was really excited to be in shorts. It seems like she had lots of fun, especially since she has not stopped talking about it :)
On a side note, Micah passed his swimming lessons and is onto Swim Kids 5! Pretty sure he has passed the level I was at when I was in swimming.

Hope
On Wednesday, the day Hope has been waiting for finally came. In January, Hope asked me to sign her up for gymnastics so being to good mother that I am, I did. Since that day, Hope has asked pretty much everyday (and those of you who know Hope know that I am not exaggerating) if today was gymnastics and the answer was always "no". Well on Wednesday the answer was finally "yes". She stretched all day to get ready and when it was time to go in and meet her coaches, she was a bit scared but she went right in. While Curtis and I watched her for the hour, she did not stop smiling and was loving every minute of it!! The funniest part was when they were walking on all fours across the balance beam and the theme music from the Pink Panther came on she had to stop and tell her coach that the music was from the Pink Panther and then kept on going. Now she cannot wait to go back!

Happy Birthday Dudley!!
It was Dudley's birthday yesterday and of course we had to bake him a cake. Hope insisted that she should make one using her Easy Bake oven. So, he had two cakes this year. We sang him Happy Birthday and then let him chow down. I wonder if his birthday wish had something to do with getting rid of a pesky puppy that NEVER leaves him alone...hmmm who could that possibly be????

Dancing Princess
I could watch 12 Dancing Princesses ALL DAY!!
12 Dancing Princesses
Our little Princess has developed an obsession with the Barbie movie "12 Dancing Princesses." She is driving her poor mom crazy with the movie. Throughout the day Curtis and I find ourselves humming the music and the minute we do Hope starts to dance to it. I think it is time to try to wean her from it :)
Kindergarten is coming.
Good thing Hope is not going because she looks bored all ready.
